Sharespy Investments ("we", "us") operates Pro-Fit AI and is the data fiduciary responsible for your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
01What data we collect
Directly from you:
- WhatsApp phone number (mandatory — this is how we deliver the service)
- Name, if you provide it
- Email address, if you contact us
- Payment identifiers from Razorpay (transaction ID, subscription status — we do not store your card or bank details)
From your use of the service:
- Watchlist tickers you save (maximum ten)
- Commands you send to our WhatsApp bot
- Delivery logs (message sent, delivered, read status)
- Timestamps of interactions
We do not collect:
- Your trading account details
- Broker credentials
- Portfolio holdings or transaction history
- Location data beyond what your phone number implies
02Why we collect it
- To deliver charts, alerts, and statistical positioning outputs to your WhatsApp
- To process your subscription payment via Razorpay
- To manage your watchlist and alert cooldowns
- To respond to support queries
- To comply with legal obligations (tax, SEBI-adjacent record-keeping)
03Legal basis under the DPDP Act
We process your data on the basis of the consent you provide when subscribing, and the legitimate use exception where processing is necessary to provide the service you subscribed to.
04Who we share it with
- Meta (WhatsApp) — to deliver messages to you. Meta's own privacy policy applies to their processing.
- Razorpay — to process your payment.
- Google Workspace — email hosting (support@pro-fit.co.in).
- DigitalOcean — our server infrastructure provider.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with brokers, advertisers, or third-party marketers.
05Data retention
- Active subscribers: for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation or expiry
- After 90 days from cancellation: we permanently delete your phone number, watchlist, and interaction history
- Payment records: retained for 8 years as required by Indian tax law (in Razorpay's systems)
- Support emails: retained for 3 years
06Your rights under the DPDP Act
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Withdraw consent (this will end your subscription)
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf
To exercise any right, email support@pro-fit.co.in with your registered phone number. We respond within 30 days.
07Data security
We use TLS encryption for all data in transit, restrict database access to authorised personnel, and store credentials in encrypted environment files. Our servers are located in DigitalOcean's Bangalore data centre. No system is perfectly secure; we notify affected users of any breach in accordance with the DPDP Act.
08Cookies
Our website pro-fit.co.in uses only essential cookies for basic site function. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.
09Children
Our service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10Changes to this policy
Material changes will be notified via WhatsApp or email. The current version is always at pro-fit.co.in/privacy.
